TWO PEOPLE KILLED IN IRINGA

TWO people have been killed in Iringa Region in the separate incidents including one killed by the angry mob at Himbo Village in Mufindi District.


The angry villagers have killed Pius Msese (40) suspected of thievery last night at the incident which occurred yesterday, according to regional police chief.


The Iringa Police Commander (RPC), Assistant Commissioner of Police, Evarist Mangalla told reporters on Monday during press briefing.


He said that an irate people were up in arms killed Msese suspecting stealing but police chief could not give details on the kind of thievery to the suspect did.


“It is not confirmed what the suspect did until he met his death from the very angry mob but police are still investigating into the matter to bring the culprit to book,” RPC narrated.


In another event, Wilson Samila (70) was killed by unknown people at Nyabula Village in Iringa District, Iringa Region.


RPC said an old man killed by unknown people but the motive behind the killing is not yet established, and police have launched a manhunt.


However, police said there are no one arrested so far in connection the two incidents.
