CHAMA cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (Chadema) kimefanya mkutano katika uwanja mpana wa stendi ya mabasi ya Mlandege, mjini Iringa; mkutano uliolezwa na wapekuzi wa mambo ya siasa wa mjini hapa kwamba umevunja rekodi ya mikutano yote iliyowahi kufanywa na chama hicho mjini Iringa.

Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania na Amiri Jeshi Mkuu, Dkt. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete ametunuku kamisheni kwa maafisa wapya wa Kitanzania 23 miongoni mwa maafisa 437 wa kundi la 53/13 – Kongo. Kundi hilo liliwajumuisha maafisa wa kitanzania wapatao 23 na wahitimu 414 kutoka Kongo.
