TASAF WILAYANI IRINGA WAPONGEZWA

Mkurugenzi Mkazi wa Shirika la Marekani la Maendeleo ya Kimataifa (USAID) Andy Karas ameridhishwa na utekelezaji wa Mfuko wa Maendeleo ya Jamii (Tasaf) wilayani Iringa kupitia mpango wa kunusuru kaya masikini nchini kwa awamu ya tatu.

Karas alisema hayo jana walipotembea Kijiji cha Igingilanyi wilayani Iringa, mkoani Iringa na kujionea matokeo ya program mbalimbali zinazoendeshwa na USAID kama vile sekta ya kilomo, lishe, elimu,afya, wanawake na vijana na utawala bora.

Alisema kuwa amefurahishwa na hali za wanufaika kwa kuona baadhi ya wanufaika maisha yao yamebadilika kwa kuanzisha miradi mbalimbali ikiwemo ufagaji wa kuku na nguruwe.

“Nimefurahi sana kuona baadhi ya wananchi wakibadilika kimaisha kwa kuwa na makazi bora kupitia msaada unaotelewa na USAID kupitia mfuko wa maendeleo ya jamii kupitia mpango wake wa kunusuru kaya masikini,” alisema Karas.

Mkurugenzi Mkazi wa Shirika la Marekani la Maendeleo ya Kimataifa (USAID) Andy Karas alifanya ziara mkoani Iringa iliyoanza jumatatu hadi ijumaa wiki iliyopita kwa lenga la kujionea matokeo ya programu mbalimbali zinazoendeshwa na USAID mkoani humo pamoja na kufanya mazungumzo na wabia na walengwa wa programu hizo. 

Alisema kuwa ziara hiyo inaakisi wigo mpana wa miradi inayofadhiliwa na Marekani nchini Tanzania, ikijumuisha sekta za kilimo, lishe, elimu, afya, wanawake na vijana na utawala bora.

Kwa upande wake, Mkurugenzi Miradi wa TASAF, Amadeus Kamagenge amelipngeza Shirika la Marekani la Maendeleo ya Kimataifa (USAID) katika kusaidia juhudi za serikali za kuwaondoa wananchi wanaokabiliwa na umasikini. 

“TASAF ni mpango wa kunusuru Kaya maskini na imekuwa katika awamu tatu mpaka hadi sasa kwa ajili ya kuwezesha Kaya maskini kujikwamua kiuchumi,” alisema Kamagenge.

Jumla ya kaya 97 za Kijiji cha Igingilanyi zinanufaika na mfuko wa maendeleo wa jamii kupitia mpango wa kunusuru kaya masikini ambapo imeelezwa kuwa kaya hizo zimelipwa mara 14 na zaidi ya milioni 49 zimetolewa kwa wanufaika.

Hata hivyo, serikali imejipanga kuborsha zaidi mpango wa kunusuru Kaya masikini nchini ujulikanao kama TASAF kwa awamu ya tatu kwa kutengeneza miundombinu mizuri ya kutambua Kaya zinazolengwa na kuondoa malalamiko ya wananchi kuwa mpango huu umekuwa ni wa Kaya chache na fedha hizo utolewa kwa upendeleo.

USAID HAILS IRINGA DISTRICT FOR IMPLEMENTING WELL TASAF PROGRAM

IRINGA: Mission Director of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Tanzania, Andy Karas has been satisfied with the implementation of the Tanzania Social Action Fund (Tasaf) in Iringa district, through the program to assist poor people in the country for the third phase.

Karas said yesterday when he and his delegation visited Igingailanyi Village in Iringa District, Iringa region to see the results of various USAID programs such as the agriculture, nutrition, education, health, women and youth and good governance.

He said he was pleased seeing some of beneficiaries have changed their lives by setting up various projects including poultry and pigs.

"I am very happy to see some of the people change their lives because of having better housing through USAID's support through the TASAF through its plan to help poor people," said Karas.

The USAID Mission Director Andy Karas was in Iringa region from Monday to Friday last week for an overview of USAID's multi programs implemented in the region with and see how beneficiaries of the programs have benefited.

He said that the visit reflects the wide range of US funded projects in Tanzania, including agriculture, nutrition, education, health, women and youth and good governance.

In turn, the TASAF Director of Community Support, Amadeus Kamagenge, has hailed USAID in assisting government efforts to eradicate poverty in the country.

"TASAF is a program to help poor Households and it has been in phase three (III) until now to empower the poor Households to get rid of the poor economy," said Kamagenge.

The total of 97 households of Igingilanyi Village in Iringa District, Iringa Region benefit from the social development fund (TASAF) through the program of alleviating poverty from poor households, which has been reported that these households have been paid 14 times and more than 49 million shillings have been paid for beneficiaries.

However, the government is committed to furthering the initiative to help poor people in the country known as the TASAF in the third phase by creating good infrastructure for identifying targeted Households and eliminating public complaints that this scheme has been a few Households.
