PRESIDENT LUNGU DISSOLVES MORIBUND JUSTICE CHIKOPA TRIBUNAL, REINSTATES JUSTICES MUTUNA, KAJIMANGA;



Shanghai, (FRIDAY, 27th March 2015) — His Excellency Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia has dissolved the moribund Justice Chikopa-led Tribunal and lifted the suspension of the two judges it was tasked to probe for alleged misconduct.

UTAFITI uliofanywa na taasisi ya wanawake nchini Zanzibar ya Zanzibalicious Women umeonyesha kuwa asilimia 40 ya wanawake Zanzibar, wanaishi katika mazingira duni ya umasikini kwa kutojitambua na kukosa elimu ya uelewa jinsi ya kukabiliana na mazingira waliyomo.

Akisoma risala siku ya wanawake mbele ya mgeni rasmi mke wa rais wa Zanzibar na Mwenyekiti wa Baraza la Mapinduzi , Mama Mwanamwema Shein , katika siku ya wanawake hafla iliyofanyika hoteli ya Bwawani, Mweka hazina wa Zanzibalicious Women Group, Shekha Hilal alisema hali hiyo ni changamoto kubwa na sasa kunatafutwa namna ya kumfikia mwanamke huyu ambaye ameshagota katika jamii yetu.

“Mama Shein asilimia hii ni kubwa saana, na sisi kama wanawake ambao tayari tumejaaliwa elimu na tunajitambua, ikiwa ni pamoja na tayari tumepiga hatua kimaendeleo katika nyanja mbalimbali, tumeguswa sana sana na suala hili.” Alisema Shekha.

Zanzibalicious ni umoja wa wanawake wanaoishi Zanzibar,ulioanzishwa mwaka 2011,na kusajiliwa rasmi mwaka 2013, ikiambatana na uzinduzi uliofanyika tarehe 28 Machi 2014.

Mweka hazina huyo alisema kwamba wanajiuliza maswali mengi kama mwanamke huyo elimu ya kujikwamua imemfikia au kama kuna jitihada zozote za kumfikishia elimu hiyo.

“Je hili ni jukumu la serikali peke yake? Au sisi tunatakiwa tujumuike na serikali? mheshimiwa mgeni rasmi tumeona ya kwamba tuungane pamoja na serikali katika kutekeleza suala hili.” Alisema Shekha akielezea nia ya taasisi hiyo ya kuondoa umaskini miongoni mwa wanawake nchini Zanzibar.

Alisema taasisi yao inajipanga kutoa elimu za aina mbili ili awali kumuwezesha kujikimu kupitia ujasiriamali, kwa kumpatia elimu kwa vitendo,kwa mfano:-ushonaji,ufugaji na utengenezaji wa bidhaa mbali mbali na pili kumtoa katika hali ya upweke ili elimu atakayopata imfikishe kwenye mifuko mbali mbali pamoja na mfuko wa Rais Dk. Ali Mohammed Shein .

Alisema katika program hiyo wanatarajia baada ya miaka 2 wanawake 100 watakuwa wanajitegemea wenyewe na kuwa mabalozi katika kuelimisha wanawake wengine zaidi.

ARUSHA: The Assembly of Heads of States and Government of the African Union (AU) is requesting the AU commission, in consultation with the African Commission of Human People’s Rights (ACHPR) to assess the implications of extending the jurisdiction of the Court to try international crimes, such as genocides, crimes against humanity and war crimes and thereon submit a report to the assembly.
