KAYA 6,464 WILAYANI KILOLO ZINANUFAIKA NA MPANGO WA TASAF

KILOLO: Halmashauri ya Wilaya ya Kilolo mkoani Iringa imefanikiwa kutekeleza Mpango wa Kunusuru Kaya Maskini kuanzia zoezi la utambuzi, uandikishaji, uhakiki na malipo kupitia Mfuko wa Maendeleo ya Jamii (TASAF).

Hayo yalisemwa na Afisa Maendeleo ya Jamii wa Wilaya ya Kilolo, Grace Killo wakati wa mahojiano maalum na Nipashe ofisini kwake jana.

Alisema kuwa jumla ya kaya maskini 6,464 zilitambuliwa na kujengewa uwezo katika vijiji 70 vilivyo kwenye mpango.

Alisema kuwa ugawaji wa ruzuku katika vijiji 70 vilivyo kwenye mpango umesababisha kuongezeka kwa mzunguko wa fedha kwenye vijiji hivyo na kusababisha kukua kwa shughuli mbalimbali za kiuchumi.

Alisema kuwa baadhi ya kaya nufaika zimefanikiwa kuanzisha miradi midogo midogo kwa ajili ya kukuza kipato ili waweze kujitegemea hata baada ya mradi kuisha kwa mfano; ufugaji wa kuku, mbuzi na shughuli za kilimo cha mbogamboga.

“…Uhamasishaji umefanyika ili walengwa wajiunge na Mfuko wa Afya ya Jamii (CHF) hadi kufikia Novemba jumla ya Kaya 3,878 kati ya kaya 6,401 zilijiunga na mfuko wa afya ya jamii sawa na asilimia 60.6, uhamasishaji unaenedelea,” alisema Killo.

Alisema kuwa kaya maskini zilizotambuliwa na kuwezeshwa kupata huduma za afya, malezi, chakula na elimu mpaka sasa kiasi cha fedha zilizotolewa ni shilingi 1,602,245,272.72.

Afisa Maendeleo ya Jamii, Killo alisema kuwa zipo changamoto zilizojitokeza katika utekelezaji wa mpango kama vile baadhi ya Kaya kutotumia fedha kulingana na malengo ya mpango wa TASAF, kwa mfano; kutojiunga na CHF na kutoanzisha miradi midogo midogo kwa ajili ya kuongeza kipato.

Alisema kuwa baadhi ya kaya zilishindwa kusimamia mahudhurio ya shule na kliniki kwa watoto kwa asimilia 80 kama muongozo wa TASAF unavyoelekeza.

Alisema kuwa changamoto nyingine ni pamoja na miundo mbinu mibovu ya barabara na mawasiliano ya simu kwa baadhi ya vijiji.

Pia alisema kuwa halmashauri hiyo inapokea kiasi cha fedha kisichotosheleza kwa ajili ya usimamizi na ufuatiliaji wa mpango kwa ngazi ya wilaya na vijiji ukilinganisha na hali halisi ya mahitaji.

Ili kuweza kutatua changamoto hizo halmashauri inaendelea kuzijengea uwezo Kaya nufaika juu ya utumiaji wa fedha kulingana na malengo ya mpango kwa kutumia kamati za Usimamizi za Jamii (CMCs), wawezashaji ngazi ya Wilaya (PAA Facilitators), uongozi wa kijiji kwa ujumla pamoja na kusisitiza kupeleka watoto shule na kliniki.

Hata hivyo, Afisa Maendeleo ya Jamii huyo alisema kuwa kaya 92 kati ya 6,464 zimefariki kutokana na sababu mbalimbali zikiwemo kuzolota kiafya na kuwa na umri mkubwa kwa baadhi ya kaya.

IRINGA: AS Access Bank Tanzania (ABT) officially launches its new branch in Iringa region, Iringa Regional Commissioner Amina Masenza has urged the bank to go and serve the rural community.

The RC made the statement on Wednesday during the launching ceremony, other attendees including distinguished guests, access bank customers, representatives from bank of Tanzania (BOT), local banks and members of media. 

She graced the bank and said a lot banks are concentrated in urban centres but they forgive to go in the rural centres where there are a lot farmers who need financial services.

She said that a lot of people have not been reached with financial services especially in the country side.

Speaking during the launching ceremony, RC applauded Access Bank for bring ease access to quality financial services in Iringa and urged farmers and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the offered services.

She said that a lot of banks are charging big interest rates which making the people to run away and look for other alternatives.

Commenting on this, the head of Business Development, Andrea Ottina said the opening of Access Bank Iringa branch is a testimony of their commitment and potential customers increased access to their products and services while at the same time enhancing customer convenience and experience.

“Iringa is among the fastest growing regions in Tanzania due to the availability of many investment attractions and produces most of food and cash crops in Tanzania, therefore through this expansion, entrepreneurs and farmers will benefit from our services,” he said.

According to Ottina, the bank will continue its expansion towards a national wide branch network, reaching vast portion of clientele across Tanzania, coupled with the introduction of new products and channels, such as mobile and agency banking, tailored to the need of rural and semi-rural population.

The branch manager, Frederick Masungwa said theta people should expect the best services from the access bank Iringa branch and should not hesitate to come for any financial advice.

Access bank Tanzania (ABT) is a commercial bank with a special focus on micro-finance with very strong international shareholders such as Access Holding, International Finance Corporation (World Bank), Kfw, African Development Bank (ADB) and Micro Vest.

ABT is one of the ten banks in the Access Bank Tanzania network with the headquarters in Berlin-Germany.
