Development Partners Group are on a Fieldtrip in Iringa Region

Chairman of Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA), Lucas Mwakabungu making a presentation during the meeting the development partners group in Iringa. He pointed out that agriculture and agro-processing are facing some challeges like high prices of inputs-fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and lack of capital investing in agriculture and agro-processing industries - no justifiable returns for loans.

ASAS Group of Companies Director, Fuad Abri (R) welcoming the DPG during field visti at ASAS Daries and Milk processing company (incl. milk processing, business environment, marketing). The director said despite their modest successes in dairy processing, the dairy business environment continues to be hostile for operations in a number of ways; the government is yet to invest sufficiently in dairy industry, the system of taxation in the country especially agro-processing-taxation is still repressive and not business friendly.
