The police force in the Iringa has arrested one mother for suspicion of abusing her 14-year-old daughter for the purpose of getting her own income and when she refuses she beat her.
Addressing journalists Iringa police commander Iringa ACP Juma Bwire said the incident occurred on 02.08.2018 at around 10:00 hrs in Mwangata township, Iringa Municipality, Iringa region.
He said the suspect Dina Juma, 45, Mwangata resident was sexually abused her 14-year-old daughter for the sake of income.
ACP Bwire explained that a detective investigation from the doctor has confirmed that the girl had been doing sex for a long time with one suspected man on 03.08.2018 and was accused of assaulting her.
The suspect has been arrested and investigating continues, but the child has been preserved at the community social welfare o due to her mental disorders.
At the same time, Iringa Police has arrested two people for allegedly trafficking detaining human who happened to be students to go work in Morogoro and Dar es Salaam respectively.
Iringa Police Commander ACP Juma Bwire said on 31.07.2018 at around 10:00 am in the small town of Ilula, Mazombe Division in Kilolo district of Iringa region has arrested two suspects while they were struggling to transport five students from Mlafi Secondary School to Dar es Salaam to do domestic work.
The students disappeared from their parents since 29.07.2018 at around 18:00 in the evening and were transported to using bodaboda from Mlafi Secondary School to Ilula.
ACP Bwire, named accused as Tulizo Mtega 19-year-old and Rosemary Msasalage, 18, all Ilula residents, adding that the suspects convinced the pupils that they will find various job including shop keeping in Morogoro and Dar es Salaam respectively.
