MASHINDANO YA SHIMIWI 2010 KUFANYIKA TANGA

Mwandishi wa habari za michezo wa Nipashe kulia Bi. Bahati Moleli akifanya mahojiano na Kocha wa timu ya Ras Mkoa wa Iringa Bw. John Ndambalo (katikati) Ijumaa kuhusiana na mashindano ya wizara na serikali (SHIMIWI) 2010 na wa kwanza kushoto ni Mwandshi wa habari wa Mtanzania Bw. Onesemo Joseph (MIJO). Mashindano ya SHIMIWI yamepangwa kufanyika mkoani Tanga kuanzia Septemba 17 hadi Oktoba 2. Michezo itakayeshindanishwa ni soka, netiboli, riadha na kuvuta kamba. Kwa mjibu wa Katibu Mkuu wa SHIMIWI Bw.Ramadhani Sululu alisema, viwanja sita vitatumika kwenye michezo hiyo ambavyo ni Mkwakwani, Popatlati, Gymkhana, Disuza, Tanga School na Uwanja wa Bandari.Timu ya soka ya Ras wakijifua na mazoezi katika viwanja vya Mkwawa mjini Iringa.Timu ya Ras wakifanya mazoezi ya viungo jana.

RETURNING OF NOMINATION FORMS IS OVER

THE exercise of returning nomination forms by parliamentary aspirants in both Iringa urban and Iringa District has been done well without any complaints, it has been discovered.

The Guardian yesterday went around the two offices of National Electoral Commission (NEC) of Iringa Urban with one constituency and Iringa District which is comprises of two constituencies, and found the implementation of returning nomination forms was done fantastically well.

In Iringa Urban Constituency, there were four parliamentary candidates seeking votes from the electorates and all the candidates returned their nomination forms to the Assistant returning Officer (ARO), Martin Ndamo from various political parties that are taking part in the forthcoming general election in October this year.

Among the hopefuls who are contesting in the race in the Iringa Urban constituency, are Monica Mbega (CCM), Mariam Mwakingwe (NCCR-Mageuzi), Zaituni Mwaibula (CUF) and Reverend Peter Msigwa (CHADEMA).

But all the aspirants have called on for level political playground hence free, fair and peaceful general election come October this year.

On other hand Ismani Constituency in Iringa District, William Lukuvi (CCM) has gone on unopposed in his constituency after other two candidates from the opposition could turn up to return the nomination forms due to unknown reasons.
Joseph Kapwani (CHADEMA) and Juma Fufumbe (CUF) could not be seen yesterday until the Returning Officer for Iringa District, Tina Sekambo put up the names of those who managed to beat the deadline on the notice board.

According to Sekambo, there was not information from the two parliamentary hopefuls to notify her why they could not bring the forms to NEC.

She noted that in Kalenga Constituency, all the aspirants who collected nomination form returned them on time and have qualified to go on the race in the coming election.

The candidates are Katindasa Lukunko (TLP), Dr. William Mgimwa (CCM), Mkuke Isimail (Jahazi Asilia) and Rehema Paulo (CHADEMA).

The national wide campaigns to all political parties to lead to October 31 general elections has officially launched today (20th August, 2010).



Mariam Mwakingwa (NCCR-Mageuzi) is getting instructions from the Assistant Retrning Office for Iringa Urban Constituency on Thursday before returning the nomination form at NEC. She is among the four hopefuls constesting for the constituency including Monica Mbega (CCM), Zaituni Paulo (CUF) and Rev. Peter Msigwa (CHADEMA) in Iringa Region.
