WAETHIOPIA 83 WAPANDISHA KIZIMBANI




MAHAKAMA ya hakimu mkazi mkoa wa Iringa imewapandisha kizimbani watuhumiwa 83 raia wa nchini Ethiopia kwa kosa la kuingia nchini bila kibali.

Wakisomewa mashataka yao mbele ya hakimu mkazi mfawidhi mkoa wa Iringa David Ngunyale wakili wa serikali Godfrey Ngwijo alisema kuwa Februari 23 katika tarafa ya Mazombe wilaya ya Kilolo mkoani hapa watuhumiwa hao walikamatwa na maofisa uhamiaji kwa kosa la kuingia nchini bila kibali.

Ngwijo alisema kuwa kosa la pili linamkabidhi utingo wa gari hilo Hassan Ferooz (18) mkazi wa Tukuyu mkoani mbeya kwa kosa la kusafirisha watuhumiwa hao kuwapeleka nchini Afrika kusini lakini mtuhumiwa huyo alikana shitaka hilo.

Kesi hiyo ilifikishwa mahakamani hapo kwa mara ya kwanza ambapo mara baada ya kusomewa mashtaka hayo hakimu Ngunyale alisema kwa kosa la kuingia nchini bila kibali ni kwamba kesi hiyo itatajwa tena Machi mbili mwaka huu hadi watakapopata mtafsiri ambaye atatafsiri raia hao huku kosa la pili likiwa ni kwamba mtuhumiwa kosa lake linadhaminika.

Awali kabla ya kuanza kwa kesi hiyo raia hao walionekana wakiangua vilio mahakamani hapo hali ambayo ilimlazimu hakimu kumtaka mwanasheria wa serikali kumtafuta kiongozi wao kwa lengo la kuwatuliza jambo ambalo lilifanikiwa.

Ngwijo alisema Februari 23 mwaka huu raia hao wasio na vibali walikamatwa wakiwa na gari aina ya lori lenye namba za usajili T.903 AKH ,Mali ya Gabriel G.Mwakyambiki wa tukuyu mkoani Mbeya.

Hata hivyo Februari 21 mwaka huu raia wengine wanne wa nchini Ethiopia walikamatwa na idara ya uhamiaji wakiingia nchini bila kibali ambapo ofisa uhamiaji wa Iringa Hope Kawawa alisema kuwa Iringa sio uchochoro wa kupitisha raia wasio na kibali.

83 ETHIOPIAN NATIONALS IN COURT FOR BREACHING THE IMMIGRATION ACT...



IRINGA: EIGHTY-THREE Ethiopian nationals including one local Tanzanian, who were arrested on Saturday by the Immigration Department in Iringa Region in collaboration with the police force have appeared before the court facing charges of breaching the Immigration Act,. 

The Immigration Department collaboration with the police once again has intercepted 83Ethiopian illegal immigrants for allegedly entering the country without legal documents. 

The 83 illegal immigrants appeared in Iringa Region Magistrate Court before Resident Magistrate in charge David Ngunyale for allegedly entering into the country without legal documents. 

According to the government lawyer Godfrey Ngwijo said on February 23 in the Mazombe Division in Kilolo district where the suspects were arrested by immigration officers for illegal entry into the country. 

Ngjojo said that the second offense was handed over to the local Tanzanian Hassan Ferooz (18) a resident of Tukuyu, for transporting Ethiopians to South Africa, but the suspect denied the charge. 

The case was filed in court for the first time,and Resident Magistrate Ngunyale adjourned the case until March 2nd this year until they find a translator who will translate Ethiopians. 

According Iringa Regional Immigration officer Senior Assistant Commissioner of Immigration Hope Kawawa, the illegal migrants were arrested at Mbigili Village in Kilolo District, Iringa region yesterday. 

He said Ethiopians all-male group was arrested alongside one local Tanzania), who was accused of transporting the illegal migrants from Dar es Salaam to South Africa looking greener pasture via Malawi and Zambia. 

Senior assistant Commissioner of Immigration Kawawa told the Guardian yesterday that on February 24, local Tanzanian allegedly ferried the illegal immigrants from Dar es Salaam to Iringa region, which were reportedly on their way to South Africa to look for a better life. 

The past few days immigration Department in Iringa arrested four Ethiopian nationals bring the number of illegal migrants bringing number to 87 since the start of crackdown on illegal migrants in the region. 

He said the migrants were arrested by immigration officers in conjunction with the police force so they continued to question and bring them to court on Monday. 

They were found in a sealed Scania Truck with no enough air in vehicle with registration number T 903 AKH belonging to Gabriel Mwakyambiki of Tukuyu in Mbeya Region. 

Kawawa said that Iringa region is not a place for immigrants to pass easily but they will continue to arrest them and bring them to law enforcement agencies all in the region and are at work for twenty-four hours. 

"Please tell the agents (human traffickers) that transport these migrants to Iringa, is not a safe place to pass those people because we are paying attention 24 hours,” he said. 

He said that following the inflow of illegal immigrant Iringa has called on some people to report when they hear some people are not Tanzanians and people who do not know to security agencies so that they can be examined. 

He said that the illegal migrants entered the country were not inspected by immigration officials by checking what they had entered and what items were as a weapon that makes security to be in jeopardy. 

However, Iringa Regional Immigration Senior Assistant Commissioner of Immigration Hope Kawawa thanked the good Samaritans who tipped them on the presence such people in region and asked general public to continue cooperation the department.

RC MASENZA URGES FARMERS IN IRINGA TO USE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS






IRINGA: Iringa farmers are required to use financial institutions in the region by taking affordable loans to grow productive agriculture and to raise their economy, because banks are catalysts for Industrialization. 

It has been said that one of the factors contributing to the failure of many farmers to cultivate professional agriculture is the lack of capital that leads to poor agricultural practice. 

The statement was issued by the Iringa Regional Commissioner Amina Masenza on Friday last week when she was launching a new branch of the NMB Ruaha Bank along Iringa-Dodoma road in Iringa municipality, which is called to reduce customer congestion while urging people and farmers to continue using these institutions to promote their economy and the nation as a whole. 

Masenza said the farmers should to take advantage for improving their economics by practicing modern farming while demanding financial institutions in the country to give soft loans to farmers.

 

On the other hand, Head of Trade NMB Abdulmajid Nsekea asked the women and youth who are in the group of entrepreneurs to lend a credit opportunity to the bank. 

“We are committed to a customer experience that brings us closer to you with every engagement, “said Nsekea. 

He said the launch of the new bank of the NMB Ruaha bank would reduce customer drowsiness in the Mkwawa bank, urging citizens to continue using these institutions to promote their economy and the nation as a whole.
