Mbeya Region Chairperson of the Road Safety Committee,Mwaigaga (Mwaji) hails great work done by President John Magufuli in 100 days

MBARALI District Council in Mbeya region expects to collect more than 55.008, 535,503/- billion shillings from various sources of revenue of the council.

The manual preparation of the budget for the year 2016/2017 was provided by the ministry of finance and planning in accordance with the government's priorities for the fifth phase government.

Reading the statement on behalf of the Executive Director, Mbarali, District Council Planning Officer, George Mwaijulu said that the program was for the three years 2017/2018/2019 and budget estimates of revenue and expenditure for the year 2016/2017.

However, Mwaijulu said that the council sources of revenues depends on income from sources within sh. bil.3,927,514,240/- and that real income funds is sh.bil. 2,753,274,240/- and sh.bil.600,000,000/- will be Community Health Fund (CHF) and National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) will be 492,550,000/- billion shillings.

Moreover Planning Officer said sh.mil.81, 690,000/- will be for health care contributions.

He said that the revenue from the central government grant is sh.bil.36,185,964,445, sh.bil.36,728,627,859 are for salaries, sh.bil.2,457,336,586 for various use, sh.bil.2,747,278,000 for development projects from own source and sh.bl. 9.147, 778,818/- for development projects will come from the government.

Speaking about the challenges, Mwaijulu said the implementation of the annual plan 2015/2016 there was challenges that projects were given small amount of money compared to the money required for development.

For his part, Mbarali District Council Chairperson who is also Igurusi Ward Councillor, Francis Mtega urged council staff and councilors that they must abandon conflict that was not profitable to the council so that they can implement the budget.

Moreover, Mtega asked the central government to bring the money in time to the projects so that they can be implemented quickly.

Mbarali District Executive Director, Jeremiah Mahinya said that the council still has a big challenge and it is that the adopted budget need a lot of things to be done.

"Our budget, we are half way and that by June 30 of this year we will be implementing our budget," said Mahinya.

Mbeya Region Chairperson of the Road Safety Committee, Allan Mwaigaga (Mwaji) has said that the great work done by President John Magufuli in 100 days he stayed in power has revealed biggest tax evaders and people who lived artificial life.

Mwaigaga made the remarks on Wednesday when he visited the headquarters of the Office of the journalists of tourism and investments (TAJATI) in Mbeya.

He said that President Magufuli has decided to use the opportunity to urge Tanzanians who have been doing their business intelligently and deliberately evade paying taxes that now is the time to repent of their citizens to be able to rise to the economy.

"If we made a mistake of  tax avoidance we are reliable not making the   government to improve  social services , we mus  all repent,  and pray to God for forgiveness for making a dreadful mistake that has made our country to be poor, "said Mwaigaga.

Moreover, Mwaigaga said that the country's economy can maintain the speed but it is the duty of every citizen to stand firm and support the efforts of the President of the fifth phase who want to ensure that the country's reputation in the management of public funds returns.

He said that the developed countries cannot believe that Tanzanians were engaging in killing their economy and seeking assistance outside when the great work done by the founder of this nation, the Father of the Nation, Julius Nyerere (late) to create everything but Tanzanians themselves were the ones who killed their economy.

He questioned a number of industries that are dead, public organizations and companies that were exploited and dead, and major public railway infrastructure that were vandalized.


"Out of the 80 days I stayed in Dar es Salaam during the 100 days of President Magufuli, people who were begging around (wapiga mizinga) in Dar es Salaam are now absent and not seen in bars and dance halls, now nothing even owning cars they will sell them, wait patiently to buy a car for two million, " said Mwaigaga .

He said that many Tanzanians who earn money through illegal trade laundering and failure to pay taxes they decided to live a fake life to be seen in contrast to other citizens who have nothing, then there ones who made the country not to have discipline.

Referring to sectors of tourism and investment in regions of southern highlands, Mwaigaga who identified himself as medium Entrepreneur counseled TAJATI to ensure that thorough use their profession to assist the government that it can achieve its goals of economic growth in these regions.

He said the tourism industry has been given more attention in Northern regions than in southern regions, it is the responsibility of the TAJATI to provide adequate education for citizens and the work of journalists promotion of tourism and visit existing tourist attractions rather than waiting for tourists from abroad.

With regard to the road sector and its infrastructure, Chairman of the Road Safety in Mbeya region, said that the government has a big challenge to improve highways originating from Songwe Airport to Uyole area which about 40 kilometers.

"The road from the airport to the Songwe in Mbeya is a problem, I came down from the airport, before I came to Mwanjelwa, the aircraft i can by has already landed in Dar.  I spent more than two hours in the queue, the cars are plentiful and the highway is one "said Mwaigaga.

MEMBER of Parliament for Tunduma Constituency (CHADEMA) Frank Mwakajoka said it would be difficult for him to continue attending parliamentary sessions in Dodoma when there are problems in his constituency because I have not followed allowance there.

Mwakajoka said that following the statements of various people he has not been attending parliament sessions regularly.

He said that if there will be problems to his constituency, he cannot continue to sit in Parliament and forums and that needs development in the constituency.

"If council officials will be unable to perform the duties of citizens I will continue to be absent in parliamentary sessions so that I can help the problems of the people, I would not be happy to sit in parliament when the citizens of my constituency have problems" said Mwakajoka.

Concerned about the few clever people who have been misappropriating public funds MP said he will not agree with people who are eating funds.

With regard to the Mayor of Tunduma town, Ally Mwafongo said that he asked the people who built in the road reserve to leave at once because there will be no compensation for citizens who have invaded.

Speaking about the contributions Mwafongo said there will be no contributions from the people due to the revenue collected in the town to be enough.
