A picture of A Saudi prince who bought first class tickets for his 80hawks has been making rounds on social media after it was first posted on Reddit.
Falcons and hawks are used to hunt wild quarry in the Arabian Peninsula. Hunting with the birds is a status symbol and normal for the super-rich.
Falcons in the United Arab Emirates are issued with passports to fly in an aeroplane. This is mainly intended to prevent smuggling.
A falcon passport is issued by the Ministry of Environment and Water and is valid for three years, costing about $130.

Border control officials are required to validate the falcon’s international movements just like they would any other passenger, verifying and stamping the passports. (CGTN)
