Iringa Press Clubs (IPC) has
conducted general election yesterday and elected a new leadership which will be
in office for the next three years, it has confirmed.
According the president of Union Tanzania Press Clubs (UTPC), Kenneth Simbaya, also the former chairman for IPC said
Daudi Mwangosi has emerged the new chairperson.
He named other new leaders as Zulfa Shomary as Vice Chairperson, Frank Leonard
as Executive Secretary , Francis Godwin as a Deputy Executive Secretary, Suleiman
Boke (Treasurer),Vicky Macha (Vice Treasurer).
Others are Getrude Madembwe, Shabani
Lupimo, Frederick Siwale,Conard Mpila, Fulgence Malangalila, Janeth Matondo na
Jackson Manga.
Simbaya who also the former
chairperson for IPC has urged the new leadership to build peace and tranquility
in the club, by avoiding squabbles.
“We need to measure our new leaders
within 100 days to see if they are competent enough,” Simbaya said.
