During the summit in South Africa, the following areas of cooperation between Africa and China were identified in the FOCAC Action Plan 2016-2018
1.Economic Cooperation
2.Social development cooperation
3.Cultural cooperation and people to people exchanges
4.Security cooperation
5.International cooperation
•Africa’s economies have grown considerably in the past decade, and China has contributed through FOCAC by facilitating trade, investments, aid and development into the region.
