49TH OF TANGANYIKA INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS (UHURU)

The Commander in chief President Dr.Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete inspects a guard of honour mounted by the Tanzanian armed Forces at the National Stadium Dar es Salaam during the climax celebrations to mark 49 years of independence on Thursday.

President Dr.Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete waves at the cheering crowd as he enters the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam to grace the 49 years Celebrations of Tanzania’s independence from Britain.Flanking him is the Chief of Defence forces General Davis Mwamunyange.
